Chateau Thomas Winery is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year. Established in 1984 by an Indianapolis OB/GYN, Dr. Charles Thomas, the winery is located in Plainfield, 15 minutes from downtown Indy off I-70 west at EXIT 66. All Chateau Thomas’ wines are made with vinifera (old world) grapes and are produced at the Plainfield location. Recently, Dr. Thomas released Slender, the world’s first sugar-free sweet wine.
Chateau Thomas Winery hosts live music with Wine Down Friday held in its Vineyard Room, January – mid-May; and Music on the Veranda, a Summer Outdoor Music Concerts Series held mid-May- October. Both are free to the public. Other events include wine dinners, mystery dinners, holiday events and its annual Grape Harvest Festival held the first weekend in October. Chateau Thomas’ elegant Tasting Room is open daily for complimentary tastings. It has an extended Gift Shoppe showcasing thousands of items.
