Museum Overview
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is the world’s largest children’s museum with 11 great galleries with more than 400,000 square feet of space to explore and learn. The museum brings in large traveling exhibits that are world renowned and will be sure to amaze kid and parent alike.
The museum also hosts the Dinosphere®, the large dinosaur exhibit where you can explore their world and get up close and personal with lifelike models. Check out the lab area also where you can examine dinosaur artifacts and fossils.
If you get hungry from all the time spent searching the museum, stop by the food court on the first level to fill up and head back out for more fun. Multiple restaurants are located within the museum with plenty of healthy options.

Museum Operating Hours
10 am – 5 pm
Closed Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas
School groups may enter the museum ½ hour earlier than general visitors.

Open free for Families the 1st Thursday of each month from 4 pm to 8;m
Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Free Parking
Free parking is available in the museum’s parking garage on the west side of Illinois Street.
Admission:
Youth (ages 2 – 17) $9.50
Adult (ages 18 – 59) $14.50
Seniors (60+) $13.50

The museum accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, as well as cash, check and travelers checks.
